We are currently expanding our natural fly profiles and hope to include all the major trout fishing flies that are of maximum importance to the UK fly fishing enthusiast.
It is essential to have the right selection of trout flies at the right time during the trout fishing season to be able to turn those difficult trout fishing days into successful trout fishing days. Without a doubt, when the trout fishing is difficult the most successful trout flies, will be those that the trout are naturally taking.
There are some trout flies that adorn many a fly box that are capable of catching many fly fishermen, but the most successful trout fishing flies are those that represent and imitate the natural flies available to the trout.
On many occasions i have witnessed a drastic change in trout catches, simply because of the time spent ensuring that the right trout flies were used at the right time, often trout will become pre-occupied with a certain fly, and the trout fisherman that can recognise these signs will know which trout flies to use and very often have a very successful day when other trout anglers are struggling for a take.
Our Natural Fly Profiles will shed some light on which trout flies to use when fly fishing.
